I know this question has been asked before, but things have changed and I cannot find a solution.

I have a TMDX570LC43HDK and Code Composer Studio Version 20.1.0.6_1.7.0.

I am familiar with HALCoGen and can generate code, but how do I create a project in CCS?

Create New Project immediately asks for a board or device and neither TMDX570LC43HDK nor TMS570LC4357 appear in the list.

Hi Watson,

The new CCS version which is based on Theia not supporting Hercules controllers for new project creation, we can only do importing of existing projects to it, but we cannot directly create the new project using this new version.

I checked with CCS team as well and they said same thing and they also said they will try to provide these features in next CCS releases.

Until then it would be good to use older version of CCS only.

Here you can easily create projects with Hercules controllers.

Thanks for that Jagadish.

Shame the TI product page for the device does not point you to the correct version of the toolset, would have saved a lot of my time.
