TMS570LS1224: How to use AD1IN[6] on J10 Pin 48 instead of the light sensor?

Hello,

I need to use the AD1IN[6] input on my Hercules LaunchPad. However, I noticed that the onboard light sensor is tied to AD1IN[6], and I want to use an external input through J10, header pin 48 for my application.

I applied 0V to J10, pin 48, but the ADC reading still reflects the light sensor's value.

Is there a way to disable the light sensor so that I can correctly read my external input on J10, pin 48?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Ariel,

There is no other way unless desoldering of components related to the light sensor.

You need to desolder above three components (Q1, R14 and C24) on your launchpad to work with AD1IN[6] from J10.
