AM263P4: Ethercat Slave Spport and Ordering Code Differance

The difference between the AM263P4ACOLFZCZR and AM263P4ACOMFZCZ ordering codes for the AM263P4 appears to be related to the pre-integrated stack, as shown in the attachment. What is the exact difference between them?

Additionally, is the EtherCAT SubDevice Stack Code (SSC) provided for free? If not, what is its cost?

Lastly, does the AM263P4 support EtherCAT slave functionality? If so, are there available software libraries for it?

Yes Am263px supports ethercat slave/subdevice functionality.

Aren't the EtherCAT stacks provided by TI?

Preintegrated stack for EthernetIp and Profinet is provided by TI directly. ETherCAT is a special case where stacks are delivered by ETG. You need to get an ETG membership for ETherCAT stack.

As part of EtherCAT preintegrated stack offering TI offers:

Cia402 profile EOE integration etc.

Is there a difference between pre-integrated and adding it later via software?

In one of the applications we will use EtherCAT, and in the other, we will use Ethernet.

Do you think the AM263P4ACOL product is more suitable for us, or the AM263P4ACOM?

If your application use only EtherCAT and standard Ethernet then you do not need part with integrated stacks. You can go ahead with AM263P4ACOL
