Changing from CCS to IAR workbench

Hi,

I have done a project in code composer studio and now have to migrate it to IAR workbench. Do we have to change the entire assembly files? Are the constants different in IAR and CCS? Please tell me if there is any document which will help me to do this.

Hi Suraj,

You need to change the assemble file to fit IAR workbench. CCS and IAR have different directives definition. Please use IAR KickStart project for TMS570LS3137 (or RM48x) as reference (the assembly file name is tms570ls3137_cstartup.s. You don't need to change the assembly instructions used in your assembly file.

Hi QJ,

Thanks for your reply. Can i change linker option in IAR workbench.? I need to add new sections.. I am also having doubt about driver to select for the project. While I was trying to flash the sample project.. Its showing error that " can not connect Jlink via USB"..".. Why this driver error happening?

Hi Suraj,

You can add new sections. Please check the device and JLINK settings under "Project-->Options". Which board are you working with?
