Hi experts,

I ask this for my customer.

My customer want to use NAND FLASH not NOR FLASH, but in our datasheet, I just find below description:

So I want to check:

1. Is it support boot from NAND FLASH?

2. If it support, what the difference between NOR FLASH AND NAND FLASH? Such as the boot up time and other performance?

AM2634 supports only QSPI boot with NOR Flash only. It does not support boot from NAND flash.

We support NAND flash boot in AM261x

Hi Nilabh,

If there some different on QSPI IP? Why AM261x can support Nand flash boot, AM263x can't support?

We have OSPI(Octal SPI IP) on AM261x whcih supports both NAND and NOR boot where as on AM263x we have QSPI(Quad SPI) IP which supports only NOR Flash.

So another question is: if AM263x don't support Nand Flash boot, Can AM263x to use QSPI Nand flash to store data?

No, only OSPI NOR is supported in AM263X.
