MSPM0G3519: how to update memory that CSC set as read-only

Please confirm, that if CSC configures some memory as read-only - it is only possible to alter it's content (by changing it to read-write) over SWD, i2c or UART interfaces (BSL-capable with password)?

hence if my device is using only CAN - read-only regions are forever read-only.

What methods you are referring to? I suppose you are talking about the item-2:

I think it can not be alterr unless you perform the factory reset.

While, let me do some test and confirm it.

Hi Mykhaylo,

I have checked that the protect register can only be accessed in CSC code, after it jump to application code, the configuration register is read-only, so it won't be changed by application code.

So if using CAN to do firmware update, if it processed in application code, then it won't be changed. While if you process CAN communication in CSC code, then you require the item-1 to protect CSC code as read-only.
