Dear E2E team,

I recently ordered the HDK from TI and am already working with it. For test purposes, I need to trigger a system reset by pressing the S3 button. Unfortunately, I have noticed that pressing the warm reset switch S3 does not trigger a system reset.


Is there a trick to activate this function or is the HDK defective and needs to be returned?

    My sincere apologies for the delayed response. I was off for few days and also i was stuck with other issues in this mean time.

    How you are saying that S3 not initiating warm reset.

    I tested on my HDK board, when i press and hold the S3 button the code execution is stopping and after releasing the button the code is executing from starting.

    I would like to apologize for my late reply. My workload is high at the moment.

    What is your recommendation to get a working HDK of type TMDS570LS12HDK with TMS570LS1227 MCU to replace the defective HDK?

    I need the HDK daily for further development and for tests on a new product. At the moment only the defective HDK is in the development department. Therefore, I cannot send you the defective HDK for inspection without first receiving a replacement.

    You can send me a fully functional HDK and I will send you back the defective HDK for inspection. In this case, please send me suitable packaging material and a prepaid return slip.

    I don't understand what is mean by defective here, what kind of defective you are talking about? 

    You said warm reset using S3 switch is not working right? You are calling that as a defective? If yes, i don't think controller replace is a solution because other things like code flashing and code execution are working here, right?

    Do one thing flash one LED blinky project and see the behavior, if code execution is working properly or not. And then press and hold the S3 button to keep the controller in reset state once you hold this switch the blinking should stop, and it should again blink after you release the S3 button.

    Try this method and let me know the results.
