MSPM0G1106: The MCU requires 30 reset button presses to run

Part Number: MSPM0G1106

Tool/software:

Hi,

We are currently using the MSPM0G1106 microcontroller on two different boards, and both of them require around 30 reset button presses to run the program initially. This issue occurs inconsistently, but it usually happens when the boards are completely disconnected from power and then powered on again.

Most of the time, it requires exactly 30 presses of the reset button; other times, it's still within the range of 28 to 32 presses.

Has anyone experienced similar behavior? Could this be related to the circuit design?

I would appreciate any insights or explanations.

Best regards,

Kyungjae Lee

  • Hi Kyungjae,

That is quite weird. By the way, if entering the debug mode, it will work as expected?

Can you check the signal of VCC, NRST, Vcore, and PA18 when you power on and reset the device?

I suspect it enter the bsl mode and then not run application code.

    B.R.
