Tracing Internal RAM memory

My customer would like to trace the internal RAM memory. I think this is possible with TMS570. Is it right?

V850 has NBD(Non Brake Debug) interface as debug port. Customer woudl like to use this port for their memory scope system.

Unfortunately TI's processor does not support this interface. However if TMS570 can trace the internal memory in realtime, this is

not weakness.

Please adivse me again.

Best regards,

Michi

  • Hello Michi-san,

TMS570 has the option to support both non-intrusive (non-halting) trace of RAM via the RTP (RAM Trace Port) peripheral.  CPU instruction and data trace is also possible via the ARM Embedded Trace Macrocell (ETM) peripheral.

Please remember the internal forum should you feel need to go to more detail.

    Best Regards,
