AM263P4: TwinCAT does not scan for device

Hello,

I am following the following guide:
EtherCAT Slave: Simple demo in TwinCAT3

However when I setup the system accordingly, I cannot scan for devices in TwinCAT3 as the option is greyed out.
I am using a notebook with integrated Intel NIC219-LM.

Could this be a peripheral issue?

They will need to look TwinCAT3 user guide to see whether NIC has real time drivers installed and TwinCAT runtime is in config mode before can. Sometimes disabling all unwanted protocols other than TwinCAT from Windows NIC properties also helps

Hello Pratheesh,

I managed to scan for the device but TwinCAT does not recognize the ESI files in the TwinCAT/3.1/Config/Io/EtherCAT folder.
Can I link this ESI file in TwinCAT directly?

I am using IC SDK 10.0.0.11 with LP-AM263P.

I do not think it's still scanning correctly, can you try disabling all protocols other than TwinCAT from NIC properties.

Looks like the issue is similar to the one faced in this thread: LP-AM263: Not able to scan the EtherCAT subdevice on TwinCAT

Hi Pratheesh, hi Aaron,

I have debugged and you were right, that the scanning was not successful.

After recompiling on AM263P I was able to detect it correctly and run the example as described.
Also I have added AM263P to the White List in TwinCAT.
