What is the current drawn by the chip during its transition from SHUTOWN to normal operation when triggered by an IO pin?

Hi Robin,
It will consume as much as the current level that the "normal operation" consumes. Ex: SHUTDOWN to RUN mode will consume whatever the program consumes at RUN mode (normally it should be around 2.3mA.)
