Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM2434, TMDS243EVM
Tool/software:
Hi,
We are currently in the process of designing a custom board based on the LP-AM243 platform.
As part of this design, we intend to use the XDS110 schematic section exactly as implemented in the LP-AM243 board.
However, since I am new to TI products, I would appreciate some clarification regarding the initial programming of the debugger firmware to the TM4C device.
Specifically, I would like to understand the procedure for programming the TM4C for the first time during board bring-up.
Are there any specific considerations or additional components we should include in the schematic to facilitate this process?
Additionally, we plan to remove the USB Type-C circuitry from our design. As a result, the USB data lines to the AM2434 processor will not be connected.
Does this imply that USB DFU (Device Firmware Update) will no longer be supported by the processor in our design?
If so, is it still possible to program the processor’s external OSPI flash memory via UART instead? I would appreciate it if you could confirm or correct this assumption.
Your support and guidance on these matters would be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Mehmet
