MSPM0G3507-Q1: Max current for ODIO pins

Part Number: MSPM0G3507-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello All,

In our project we going to use ODIO pin for direct drive of single LED. We need about 15mA for LED, in full temperature range.

According Datasheet table 7.1 max current for ODIO is 20mA.

But, in table 7.10.1 Electrical Characteristics (of Digital IO), maximum voltage drop on ODIO describe only for 8 mA.

What is maximum available current for ODIO?
Can we use ODIO for driving 15mA?

Thank a lot.

  • Hi,

You can use ODIO to sunk 15mA. Table 7.10.1 means that when the sunk current is at 8mA the output low voltage will reach to 0.4V. When the current goes higher than 8mA, the output low voltage will also go higher than 0.4V.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao
