Hi,

My customer wants the ADC to be calibrated over a wide temperature range. The device TRM mentions in the ADC Overview a "Semi-automatic calibration of CDAC trim values", but this point is not elaborated any further in the TRM. They would expect that there be a function call to invoke when a significant temperature change happened.

Is there such a calibration process? Is it available in the SDK and in MCAL?

As far as I know, this ADC calibration is done in the manufactor side. It is not available in SDK.

Thank you. Could you please confirm that the performance of the ADC as specified in the datasheet does not require any calibration routine to be run during system operation even when there are large temperature jumps?

Hi,

As described in datasheet, over recommended ranges of supply voltage and operating free-air temperature (unless otherwise noted), all TYP values are measured at 25℃ and all accuracy parameters are measured using 12-bit resolution mode (unless otherwise noted).

The data is not cover for a large range of temperature.

Hi Cash,

The ENOB parameter is specified over the whole range of supply voltage and temperature. Can we tell to customers that the ENOB performance does require any calibration routine to be run during system operation even when there are large temperature jumps?

Hi,

The MIN ENOB means that customer should a better performance than it over temperature. For my understanding, the ENOB MIN performance does NOT need additional calibration routine over temperature.
