Hello,

I am currently using the AM2634 in my project. I’m using SPI3 to communicate with the MAX3421E, but I’m facing an issue — I’m not receiving any data when I send a command. Currently, I’m using the mcspi_loopback_polling_lld driver code. I also noticed that the chip select line always remains low on the oscilloscope. How can I properly toggle the chip select line?

Hello, I’m writing values to the MAX3421E registers and trying to read them back, but I’m getting incorrect (dummy) values. I’m not able to read back what I’ve written. I also observed on the oscilloscope that the Chip Select (CS) pin remains low all the time. I want the CS pin to go low only during data transmission. How can I control the CS pin to toggle high and low properly?

Hi,

Since the need is to write to the register first, we should first call McSPI_transfer with RX Buffer = NULL. This will initiate a write only transfer. CS is disabled after write is completed. Next, we should call McSPI_trasfer again with TX Buffer = NULL which enables CS and initiates a read only transfer from the Peripheral device.
