MSPM0G1519: Dataflash Programing Problem

Part Number: MSPM0G1519

Tool/software:

Hi TI team,

I'm an engineer from System General (SG), a company specializing in third-party programming tools. I'm currently using our programmer along with the provided MSPM0GX51X_DATA_16KB.FLM file to program the Data Flash region of MSPM0Gx devices.

However, we are encountering an issue where programming to the Data Flash region fails. The main flash area works as expected, but the Data Flash region (assumed to be in the last few sectors) does not accept programming.

We suspect that this could be due to region-based write protection mechanisms, such as the CMDWEPROTB register. Could you help confirm whether any unlock procedure or configuration (e.g., clearing protection bits) is required before programming the Data Flash via FLM?

Also, are there any power or reset conditions (e.g., VDDA, BOR lock, or debug lockout) that might prevent FLM-based tools from accessing certain flash sectors?

We would appreciate it if you could review and advise on this issue. Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards,

Ken Wang
