MSPM0G3507: LP-MSPM0G3507: FUSION_DIGITAL_POWER_DESIGNER question

Part Number: MSPM0G3507

Tool/software:

Hi TI

  • May I ask if the TI LP-MSPM0G3507 can be used with the FUSION_DIGITAL_POWER_DESIGNER software to communicate with the MSPM0G3507 via PMBus?

  • What hardware device is needed on the computer side?

  • What functions does the above software provide?

  • We can get UCD CPU information from UCD device datasheet:

    Fully Programmable High-Performance 31.25
    MHz, 32-Bit ARM7TDMI-S™ Processor
    – 32KB of Program Flash
    – 2KB of Data Flash with ECC
    – 4KB of Data RAM
    – 4KB of Boot ROM Enables Firmware Boot-Load
in the Field via I2C or UART

Also, for G3507's CPU spec, it's enough.

But there are other hardware spec need to pay attention, such as PWM resolution, ADC resolution and speed.

This is depending on your design requirement.

Please refer to UCD and MSPM0's device datasheet for reference.

    FUSION_DIGITAL_POWER_DESIGNER

For this software lib's detailed information, please submit a E2E ticket to UCD device E2E.

  • Does this mean I can use it directly, or should I post a question in another support forum to confirm?

  • That's depending other requirements.

Such as PWM, G3507 doesn't support ps level PWM resolution. max resolution is 12.5ns.

Also, I am not sure the detailed requirement of this library.

It's better to consider the comments from UCD team.

MSPM0 can use as power sequencer, but not all hardware spec is fit into your requirements.
