TMS570LC4357-EP: EMIF connection discrepancy in Reference Manual and Datasheet

Hi,

In figure 12.27 of TMS570LC4357-EP Reference Manual, the EMIF connection with external Flash memory has been shown.

There are two things what we observed (may be connection mistakes) in this connection -

1) The data bus is connected in straight fashion without byte swapping as mentioned in TMS570LC4357-EP Datasheet section 5.14 NOTE.

2) In an address bus connection, Address line ADD]12] is missing form microcontroller side.

Is this ( figure 12.27) connection of external flash memory is correct?

If not, I feel TRM is not written properly and should be corrected.

In the note they are saying "can be made big endian by swapping the bytes" however this is not mandatory for every memory.

You are correct, A12 is missing from controller side, it is a typo error the actual diagram should be as below:
