AM2612: No TRST, EMU0 and EMU1 on AM261x

Hi,

My customer is now designing their PCB board with AM2612, then they have some questions about JTAG circuit.

- AM2612 doesn't have TRSTn pin. How should the TRSTn pin on XDS110 be treated ? How can it be reset ?

- AM2612 doesn't have EMU0/EMU1 also. How should be EMU pins on XDS110 be treated ?

They're concerned if Flashing tool or some functions cannot be used without EMU0/EMU1. Other engineers in this customer seems to be using EMU as Trigger and Debug Boot Mood Interface Signal.

Is there any concern in the case of no EMU ?

TRSTn can be left floating.

EMU0/EMU1 can also be left floating.

The customer is looking into the schematics of AM261-SoM-EVM. It seems that TRSTn of XDS110 is connected to MCU_PORz. Which is better solution, floating or MCU_PORz ?

Hideaki,

In the AM261-SOM-EVM implementation, this is so the AM26x device can be reset via JTAG. If that functionality is desired, then this can be used.

Otherwise, you can float the pin.
