LM3S9B96 External SDRAM

We developed a LM3S9B96 based board using a MT48LC16M4A2TG-75:G for external SDRAM.  The manufacturer has informed us that the device is End-of-Life and recommends a MT48LC16M4A2TG-6 replacement which is CAS latency = 3.  Is there a recommended replacement of the MT48LC16M4A2TG-75:G for use with the LM3S9B96?

    Hello,

       First please make sure you are requesting information on the correct part# from the manufacturer.  You should be asking about a x16 SDRAM part.  ie. MT48LC4M16A2-75.

    Alternative parts from Micron that should work with the existing pinout should include MT48LC4M16A2-7E.

    You could also go to the next highest density MT48LC8M16A2-75 or -7E.

    Other vendors that have parts which are PC133 compliant will work as well.
