MSPM0G1507: Timer A0 PinMux - Datasheet Vs SysConfigTool

Part Number: MSPM0G1507

Tool/software:

Hi,

The datasheet of MSPM0G1507 RevC (SLASEW9C) in Table 6-3 shows the PinMux options for TIMA0_C1 (column for 48 PT, RGZ) pins 2, 9, 13, 17, 23 and 40. In revision D (SLASEW9D) the same table was updated to pins 2, 9, 13, 17, 23, and 41.

SysconfigTool 1.24.0+4150 shows both options. Should I consider this a datasheet mistake or a SysConfigTool error?

  • Hi, If you hover over the error, what does it say for the details?

  • Hello, Brian.

There is no problem on the SysconfigTool; the image indicating the issue was my fault (another conflict). The intention is to demonstrate that pins 40 and 41 can be chose, see the list.

That is precisely the point because I believe this could be a datasheet error. Could you please confirm this information?

  • Thanks for the additional info! Let me pull an example into my IDE and verify whether this is an error in the datasheet. I will keep you posted.

  • I think the rev D datasheet is correct, looking at table 6.1 for the 48-pin PT package looks like PA22 has TIMA0_C1 [5] (pin 40) and TIMA0_C1 [7] (pin 41) is also available. I think this is just based on the pin muxing as you can see the [5] and [7] show that these pins has the capability to be assigned to TIMA0, but just using a different channel, hence the 5 and 7 at the end. Hope this helps!
