I am asking this for our customer.

The user wants to use an external clocking/triggering source to advance TIMER like below in TRM.

Would you please show us the related examples and/or how to use Sysconfig for these ACOND, CAC explicitly?

Example timx_timer_mode_compare_edge_count does this:

It's done using a (synthetic) timer "mode" (DL_TIMER_COMPARE_MODE_EDGE_COUNT), so if you want to see the details you have to dig through the driverlib source.

It's pretty much as described: set one of the channel CCCTL.ACOND to (e.g.) rising edge then set CTRCTL.CAC to point to the chosen channel.
