Joe,

I am not aware of the part you are referring to. It doesn't seem to be a microcontroller.

However, having searched for bsdl on the TI site, I found this http://www.ti.com/adc/docs/midlevel.tsp?contentId=23670.

I would like to ask if BSDL is refer to the particular IC package or refer to the part number?

Joe,

Both in most cases. Walking through the file names I see first the part number, then the package.
