Hi,

I'm trying to develop a project in lwip(udp) with nortos using am2634 launch pad. I've tried to configure a code with the reference of "icss_emac_lwip_sample" which is provided on the dev.ti.com -> Resource Explorer and i have stucked with this error

error #10234-D: unresolved symbols remain
error #10010: errors encountered during linking; "empty_udp.out" not built
tiarmclang: error: tiarmlnk command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)
gmake[1]: *** [makefile:152: empty_udp.out] Error 1
gmake: *** [makefile:146: all] Error 2

I have tried many times to resolve this with online resource but that doesn't work.

Help me out to solve this problem.

Apologies for a delayed response,

1. Can you point me to the exact link on dev.ti.com from where you have referenced . Which syscfg and MCU_PLUS_SDK are you using? Generally the "undefined" symbols error you see is auto-generated code by syscfg. Seems like some configuration is missing.

2. I would recommend downloading the MCU_PLUS_SDK and refer to the icss_emac_lwip based example instead of the online TIREX imported example.https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM263X/latest/exports/docs/api_guide_am263x/EXAMPLES_ICSS_EMAC_LWIP.html

Hi Ekanthalingam V,

I tried the same application and it works. For your custom udp application, can you share your empty_udp CCS project to me. The ETHPHY functions are called in syscfg auto-generated code but are defined in the board lib.

1. Can you let me know what SDK version are you using (hoping it is v10.02 SDK).

2. If yes, can you let me know if you are linking the board.lib and the icss_emac.lib? Your project should have the following libs linked (except the lwip_freertos, replace that with the lwip-nortos related libs)

The missing symbols that are seen in your error log are from icss_emac.lib and board.lib. Make sure the v10.02 SDK based lib is linked to your empty_udp project (check in project properties in CCS by right clicking on the project in workspace, then go to linker settings)

There is no related files which is required for lwip-nortos project

- There is no nortos file for this two libraries(lwip-nortos libs)

Apologies for my incorrect reply earlier.

Yes the icss_emac is FreeRTOS based right now and does not have a nortos lwip support.

Incase you want LwIP with NoRTOS, either, you'll have to port the icss_emac and the freertos libs to work in nortos context, or you can try moving from ICSS to CPSW if that still supports your use-case.

CPSW (Hardware) runs (enet-lld) software which is OS agnostic and thus LwIP is supported over FreeRTOS and NoRTOS over CPSW hardware: software-dl.ti.com/.../EXAMPLES_ENET_LWIP_CPSW_HTTPSERVER.html
