Hi,
is there a plan to update the Launchpad User's Guide. Current one shows this one

and customer has this one

He wants to use the supercap and it not described.

Thanks for pointing this to us,

Yes, we missed to update the LaunchPad UG when we do some update on its hardware, I will forward this thread to the owner of the L2228 LP UG and take a fix on next release.

You can see the below gives the option to use VDD or Super Cap to VBAT:

If they connect all three pins together, then the VABT is enabled with a super cap and on-board 3V3. Or user can connect VBAT and CAP only, then there requires an external power supply to VBAT [Or eanble internal path of VDD (MCU) to power the VBAT external capacitor].

We have the document update pending review and release. You can contact me if you need it ahead of time and I can give you the draft version.

Software Examples are planned for the next SDK release for the document Sal has linked.
