MSPM0G3507: Unused GPIO pin configuration

Part Number: MSPM0G3507

Tool/software:

Hello guru,

If there are some unused pins, what kind of mode do you recommend?

There are so many cases(pins are floating state, connected with GND... etc)

1. No configure - High Z

2. GPIO output low

3. GPIO input + internal pull up

4. GPIO input + internal pull down

5. Analog input + no internal resistor.

I referred 'MSPM0G3507 Low Power Test and Guidance' document. But there is no clarify answer.

Thank you in advance

  • Hi Ryan,

    1. No configure - High Z

    2. GPIO output low

    3. GPIO input + internal pull up

    4. GPIO input + internal pull down

    5. Analog input + no internal resistor.

All you listed here is valid and will not make power consumption increased. By the way, the option 1 and option 5 is the same.

For the better ESD performance, option 2/3/4 will be better.

    - This table is shown in G3507 datasheet.
