MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM273X: Can we configure the QSPI to a stand alone mode to control a non-Flash device?

Part Number: MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM273X

Tool/software:

Hello Support team,

To collect high frequency signals with AD7389-4 chipset in 4-wire mode, we plan to use AM273x's QSPI to connect with the ADC to get high throughput.

Is that setup workable?

By search the SDK, I can't find any stand alone QSPI sample project code. They are all tightly related with a QSPI Flash.

Could you provide some basic stand alone QSPI sample code? Or if no sample code, could you give some suggestions for which sample project code we can start from?

Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Lin

  • Hi Lin,

I need to discuss with the team to see if this is something that can be supported. Please give us a week to determine if a sample example can be provided.

As for what is currently offered, our QSPI examples are memory based, and the structure of our API is based on the assumption that QSPI will be used for flash communication. I would recommend going through the LLD functions and make sure that the transfer functions are basic enough to be used for non memory devices. I am currently unsure if this is the case

    Best,

    Daniel

  • Hi Daniel,

Thanks for you to take care of my post. We really hope we can get the sample code of stand alone QSPI.

At same time, we will try to dive into the LLD functions to see what we can do.

Looking forward to your further reply.

    Best regards,

    Lin
