MSPM0L1227: FWEPROTMAIN fail, CSC need ?

Part Number: MSPM0L1227

Tool/software:

Hi Sir

I'm trying to set up write protection, and I've configured FWEPROTMAIN to 0xFFFFFFFF. According to the specifications, this should enable write protection for the flash memory from 0 to 0x8000 (32KB). However, I tested it and I can still write data, as shown in the image below. Is there anything else that needs to be set? Also, is there a way to enable write protection for both banks from 0 to 32KB? Or is it necessary to enable CSC?

thanks.

  • Hi Wilson,

According to the specifications, this should enable write protection for the flash memory from 0 to 0x8000 (32KB).

The FLASH protection is parts of security feature and only take effect if it configrued properly during CSC stage:

Also, is there a way to enable write protection for both banks from 0 to 32KB? Or is it necessary to enable CSC?

CSC is must to be enable for this write protection.

If want to protect both banks from 0-32KB, I think the first method can be applied, enable it via NONMAIN configruation.

    - Note, if NONMAIN flash static write protection is enabled, CSC is not must to have for flash protect.
