Until now, I was able to use my TIVA C Stellaris Launchpad perfectly in a virtual machine on my (Intel) Mac.

Now I have a new (Silicon) Mac, and the ICDI driver won't install.

Are there any problems with Macs with M processors?

Hi,

Please download the ICDI driver from https://www.ti.com/tool/STELLARIS_ICDI_DRIVERS. If your new MAC is based off of Apple's own M processor then I don't think it will work. We don't have driver for Apple's M-processor platform.

Hi Michael,

Unfortunately, there is no plan for an updated ICDI driver.

I will suggest:

1. Use an Intel-based Mac. I'm not a Mac user but my understanding is that in the older MacOS you can dual-boot or run in emulation mode as you have already have on your older Mac machine.

2. Not sure which Stellaris LaunchPad you have. If you are using the EK-TM4C1294XL LaunchPad then it has a connector (U6) for external debug probe. You could possibly use a debug probe such as XDS110 or XDS200 and the TI toolchain such as CCS has support for Mac.
