MSPM0G1507: Does its PWM support high-resolution better than 2ns?

Hi champs,

I am asking this for our customer.

The user wonders if the PWM resolution can be better than 2ns (< 2ns)?

In general, the PWM resolution is 1/80MHz = 12.5 ns.

But it is possible to achieve < 2ns with some internal HW module?

    Hi Wayne, I don't think it is possible to get the resolution down to that level. Since the 80MHz is the highest CLK speed we can use for the PWM there would be no way to increase this resolution further. In order to do this, you would either need an external high speed PWM generator, a high frequency clk divider/ multiplier, or something like phase shifting clocks which our devices do not currently support.
