MSPM0C1106: WWDT cannot take effect in STANDBY0 power mode

Hi Expert

Customer needs to use WWDT in STANDBY0 power mode, but cannot configure the function properly with sysconfig. As they test, the WWDT can be configured properly in Run mode, but not in STANDBY0 mode.
please see the sysconfig generated code below:

Seems the 32k LFCLK cannot be configured properly in STANDBY0 mode, once check the below box, there is no change in generated code.

is there any manual configuration workaround the make WWDT in STANDBY0 mode work?

Hi Joe,

We do have a demo code in the SDK using WWDT as internal timer mode in standby0 with external crystal, it works well as I test

..\mspm0_sdk_2_05_00_05\examples\nortos\LP_MSPM0C1106\driverlib\wwdt_interval_timer_lfxt_standby

Could you help to provide more details how to reproduce this issue?

I use the below example for the test:wwdt_window_mode_periodic_reset_LP_MSPM0C1106_nortos_ticlang.zip

I did some changes on the project so I attach the whole project in the thread:

change 1: comment the interrupt handler to disable the WD reset:

//NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIMER_0_INST_INT_IRQN);

change 2: comment the WFI to disable the low power mode to make it easy for debug:

// __WFI();

After the changes, I expect the WWDT should reset the MCU periodically, but the real test is MCU stuck in While loop.
