AM263P4: Motor phase current - sinusoidal form with HALL sensor

Part Number: AM263P4
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP-AM263P, BOOSTXL-3PHGANINV, LVSERVOMTR

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am using LP-AM263P, BOOSTXL-3PhGANINV and LVSERVOMTR.

When I run with Hall sensors, the phase currents measured by the ADC do not look sinusoidal; they’re jagged/irregular. When I switch to encoder or ESMO , the phase currents look sinusoidal as expected.

the current plot from the original UMC code:

HALL angle:

HALL interpolated angle:

and my waveform with Hall-angle interpolation (still distorted)

The control algorithm applies essentially the same voltage command on the phases in all three cases (HALL, Encoder, ESMO).

What could cause this behavior, and where should I focus my debugging?
