SYSCONFIG: Import SysConfig (pin planning only) project into SysConfig with software product (e.g. SDK)

Hi,

Our hardware team does a pin planning without a software Product (no SDK's or other software related parts installed on those PC's) in the SysConfig tool by choosing only the device and the package and/or variant.

Is there any way for our software team that they can reuse this SysConfig project by adding a software product?

That would extremly ease the workflow because the software team does not have to input the whole pin information again.

If not, that would be a feature in SysConfig we would very much welcome.

    Hello Patrick, 

    This request does come up every once in a while. There is a way of adding a product, but the issue is that the settings do not get used by software products configuration. We do have work in progress that is used for a different purpose but could be enhanced to support this use case as well. I'll file a ticket in our tracking system to capture the request.

    Thanks for the answer. Good to know that:

    a) We are not alone with this kind of workflow/problem
    b) the issue is addressed/noted in a ticket

    Although there is no solution yet I will close this thread and looking forward to an easier workflow.
