we are developing the Railway application system which should be SIL3 certified and we have used AM263x Series MCU [Full MPN: AM2632COKFHA] which has capability of SIL-3 & IEC 61508 functional safety system design. We are referring to the Safety manual document of this AM263x Series to take understanding about functional safety capable SIL3 level design and would like to request you to share any AM263x based or any other SIL-3 & IEC 61508 certified reference design for our reference.

    Hi Hemal,

    The device Safety Manual describes all the available safety mechanisms that can be implemented internal and external to the device. The system integrator needs to use the FMEDA which shows the coverage that can be obtained by implementing the diagnostic groups outlined in the manual for each IP/ functional block that is being used in the application in-order to achieve the SIL3 level system design. There is no other certified system reference design that TI provides apart from this. You could also refer to the system functional safety concept example provided in chapter 7 as a reference.
