Hello TI engineer, I am currently using CCS version number Version: 20.2.0.12 __1.8.0. I would like to compile my code into a lib library and how do I create it.

The problem we are currently facing is:
When I click on CSS to create a project, a window pops up asking me to choose an example to create. After I randomly select a routine to create, I find that it compiles. out executable files, and I want to add the code to the lib library. How do I do this.

When you created a new project, did you choose Static Library as the Output Type?:

Is the CCS version you are using 20.2.0.12 __1.8.0.

The chip I use is am263x。

When I create a project, the tool asks me to select a project, but there is no place to choose the Output type of project to be created

Sorry, yes, I'm using 12.8.1 so not helpful.

I see your problem now. It seems you might have to create your project using CLI with option -ccs.outputType

Very sorry but I'm not a TI engineer so can't afford the time. Perhaps Ki can advise.

However, if I were in your situation I would download and install CCS 12.8.1 then create a library project easily there. CCS12.8.1 still supports your device. Then I would copy the .lib file to my application project which could be in CCS 20.2 or CCS 12.8.1.

Furthermore, after you have created library project in CCS12.8.1 I believe you can then import that project into CCS 20.2.

I tried creating a library project using CCS12.8.1 and importing it using CCS 20.2.

After importing, the compilation was successful, but when the compiled library file was used in another CCS20.2 project, an error occurred.

"has a Tag_CPU_arch_defile attribute value of" 77 "that is different from one previously seen (" 82 "); combining incompatible files"

Personally speaking, I would avoid using CCS 20.2 for all my projects until it is more mature.

Thank you, I tried moving the issue.

I also don't want to use CCS 20 version, but as you know, AM263x specifies versions above this. The previous tool was based on Eclipse and was very user-friendly, but now the basic function of compiling the tool into a library is not available.

I don't think that's the case. I currently use CCS12.8.1 for both AM263x and AM263Px projects. In the future I will use CCS20.x when its many issues are resolved.
