AM2434: Timeout error occurred when the sbl_null.release.hs_fs.tiimage was written by UniFlash.

I don't think there is any issue with flashing SBL NULL using UART UNIFLASH, It seems that after the flashing is successful, they are facing problem while loading am243x_alx_flasher.out via CCS, could you let me know what is this .out for and share the same with me.

My steps as follows:

1. Launch UniFlash 8.6.0

2. Load the attached file below using [Session] -> [Load Session] menu.

3. On AM2434 LaunchPad, set SW4 1,2,3,4 to ON, SW4 5,6,7,8 to OFF. (set the board to DEV BOOT MOOE)

4. Turn the AM2434 LaunchPad on (Power on)

5. On UniFlash GUI, click [Load Image] button.

Then, got the message on UniFlash Console:

This is a question related to FLASH writing mentioned above.

As described in the above post, following the official procedure below for FLASH writing resulted in an error:

However, the following procedure succeeded:

1. Set the DIP switch to JTAG BOOT MODE and reboot the board
2. Execute uart_uniflash.py from the command line and write using default_sbl_null.cfg
3. Set the DIP switch to OSPI BOOT MODE and reboot
4. Launch Uniflash and connect to the board via JTAG
5. Write the desired FLASH image
6. Set the DIP switch to OSPI BOOT MODE and reboot

The official procedure follows the flow of "writing in DEV MODE → booting in OSPI MODE", which resulted in an error.
On the other hand, the flow of "writing in OSPI MODE → booting in OSPI MODE" worked correctly.
What is the reason for this difference?
Also, is it acceptable to continue using the latter method (writing in OSPI MODE → booting in OSPI MODE) going forward?

Are you using Am243 TI EVM? Or you have a custom flash on the board like W25Q64JV?

Apologies for any confusion, The author in the thread I shared was facing a similar issue, so I shared it with you in case it helps.

I was able to reproduce the behavior customer is observing on my EVM, I will confirm internally once if this is the expected behavior for TI UNIFLASH.
