Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDS243EVM
Tool/software:
Hello TI Engineering Team,
We are currently testing OSPI booting on our AM2432 development platform, using an IS25LX256 flash memory. We have successfully achieved booting in both 1s-1s-1s and 8d-8d-8d modes, and we've confirmed that both the bootloader and our application are running correctly.
After writing these two items to the flash memory:
-
Bootloader: Sbl_ospi bootloader (tiimage)
-
Application: hs_fs (custom LED blink)
We confirmed the application runs (the LED blinks) by setting the OSPI boot mode and powering on the board.
To resolve initial issues, we referred to the AM263PX EVM, which uses a similar driver. We modified the Vpp/W# pin setting of our IS25LX flash and changed the input clock frequency from 133MHz to 100MHz, following recommendations found on the TI E2E forum.
While our boot process is now successful, we have a couple of questions for further verification.
-
We based our system configuration on E2E forum recommendations. Does this configuration alone guarantee the stability of OSPI booting, or are there additional parameters or test procedures we should perform?
-
Could you please confirm if the S28HS512TGABHM010 (Infineon, +1.8Vcc) flash used on the TMDS243EVM has been validated for compatibility with AM243x? We are considering using this flash for an upcoming board revision.
Thank you for your time and guidance.
Best Regards,
Jack
