MSPM0G1506: Able to read VCC bus while erasing flash or writing to flash (prefer able to read during either)

Part Number: MSPM0G1506

Tool/software:

Our MSPM0G1506 design will be battery powered and running nominally at 4MHz when active.

VCC range during the defined lifetime of the battery is 3.0-2.2V

is it feasible to read the VCC rail (channel 7) while the Flash erase/write is active?

Essentially, since the Flash erase/write is my most power consuming event (10mA at 3.3), I want to see how much sag my power rail has during that load. (if possible)

OBTW- what happens to the erase/write current as VCC goes lower?

THANKS for any replies!

  • Hi Roger,

As there is only one flash bank in M0G1506, we could not execute flash program while flash erase/write operation. But you could load the "read VCC Voltage" program in SRAM to make sure it is run in SRAM, it will be fine.

And the range 3.0-2.2V power supply range is supported by M0, but we need to avoid a quick drop during flash operation, to avoid a erase or write fail.
