MSPM0G3507: Question regarding ADC and pin setting

Part Number: MSPM0G3507

Tool/software:

Hello experts,

I am using MSPM0G3507 and would like to double check if my understanding of settings are correct.

(1) ADC

If we want to measure the Temperature Sensor using Internal 2.5V for VREF, is VREF+ connected to Open and VREF- connected to GND, correct?

(2) Pin setting of unused pins

We tried the following three settings for unused terminals, and confirmed that the current consumption is all the same.

Is there any recommended setting out of following 3 for the MCU?

Input + Pull-up resistor

Input + Pull-down resistor

Output Low

  • Hi Bhavpreeta,

When using the internal VREF, a decoupling capacitor is required on the VREF+ pin and should be connected to VREF-/GND.

With regards to the three pin settings, each of those options is valid. There is however large current draw when the pins are configured without the internal resistor. The MSPM0 Low Power Optimization Guide has more information on this.

    Best Regards,
    Brian
