Hi Experts,

Would like to ask about TMS570LC4357-EP:
What is the recommended frequency for an external oscillator used with this enhanced product MCU in the subject line? Is there a preferred oscillator that is recommended by TI to use in junction with this MCU?

From dev't kit TMDX570LC43HDK with catalog variant of MCU, using 7A-16.000MAAJ-T external oscillator but in narrow opTemp. Wondering if the external oscillator below shown from mouser can be used?

    • This matches exactly with the development kit's oscillator frequency.
    • Falls well within the acceptable frequency range (5 to 20Mhz) for the TMS570LC4357-EP
    1. Temperature Range:
    • ECS-160-20-30B-DU operates from -55°C to +125°C
    • This is also matching with controller operating temperature range.
    1. Stability: ±30 ppm
    • This stability is generally acceptable for automotive applications
    • The oscillator monitor on the TMS570LC4357-EP will help ensure proper operation
