AM2431: SDK missing features

Ethernet boot is not supported due to a known errata.
XIP mode will indeed show lower performance compared to running from MSRAM or DDR.
There are no current plans to support these features in the MCU+ SDK.

Thanks for the response. Just to confirm what you said,  the AM431 device can never support ethernet based boot and TI is not planning to release Secure boot in XIP mode feature for this device.

Hi Anil,

Let me clarify my question: I don't want to do XIP boot for the SBL.

Secure Boot refers to the RBL and SBL. This I believe is already implemented and working on the EVM.  

My FW app image is targeted to run in XIP due to memory constraints. The FW App image must be authenticated and de-encrypted on the fly.

I am trying to see when this feature will be available.

Hi Anil,

No we can develop FOTA capability and we have a base FW update app already working on the EVM. I am interested in OTFA and I do see a reference to OTFA under XIP section.

Is it possible to test and validate this method on the EVM since I am using HS.FS images right now and this section calls out this is targeted for a HS.SE  device ? Can I rollback to HS.FS device configuration if something breaks ?

You can't do this OTFA testing on the HS-FS devices.
