MSPM0L1306: Open-drain pin usage

Part Number: MSPM0L1306
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi champs,

I am asking this for our customer.

The user wants to have up to 3x open-drain output pins with external pull-up resistors in order to save power consumption on MSPM0.

1) The user can use PA0 and PA1, where no internal pull-up resistors are connected. Is it right?

2) But they still need the 3rd pin. Can standard drive IO pins be used as open-drain output pins by software congurations?

(3.3V is needed. No need for 5V.)

  • Hi Wayne,

    1. Yes this is correct, there are no internal pull-up resistors for open-drain pins
    2. Yes, you can configure SDIO pins to have open-drain functionality. You can do this easily within SysConfig by enabling High-Impedance within the Digital IOMUX Features

    Best,
