AM263P4: OpenAMP for inter-core communication

We do not have OpenAMP stack support in the SDK. Can you help me understand what exactly is the use-case with OpenAMP for the customer?

As far as I understand, OpenAMP enables lifecycle management and IPC on multiple cores. It provides RemoteProc and RPMsg functionality. We have our own IPC hardware offering on AM263Px which provides IPC mailboxes and IPC spinlocks. Over that, we have built IPC RPmsg and IPC Notify drivers in the SDK.You can checkout the SW feature support here:

and HW feature support in the TRM chapter 8: "Interprocessor Communication"

I beleive this mostly offers pretty much everything needed. Over that, if customer still needs OpenAMP support, they can port it to the SDK and hook some of the features directly to our HW IPC offering to optimize the performance further.

But this hasn't been internally evaluated or in plan for SDK support. Based on priority of this stack support, we can take this conversation offline over email.
