The ICSS on the AM263Px enables support for industrial communications protocol. It is a 100Mbps subsystem on AM263Px.

All the above offering is from the ICSS (industrial communications sub-system). This is a 100M industrial protocol support.

• If 1Gbps ethernet is a requirement, CPSW ethernet switch on AM263Px does support IEEE 1588 PTP (https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM263PX/11_00_00_19/exports/docs/api_guide_am263px/EXAMPLES_ENET_CPSW_TSN_GPTP_TT.html)

But CPSW does not support EtherCAT as it is not oriented towards industrial communications protocols.

We have ETherCAT master demo software for the icECAT EtherCAT Master Stack running on TI AM263Px (LaunchPad LP-AM263P) by our 3P partner IbV

It demonstrates some of the features of the EtherCAT master. The I/O can be accessed manually, no custom control logic can be implemented.
