MSPM0G3507-Q1: COMP module on the MSPM0G3507 required VREF?

Part Number: MSPM0G3507-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSPM0G3507

Hi

I am using the comparator (COMP) module on the MSPM0G3507 device in a low-power mode (STANDBY1) to compare two external voltages, with the output driven on the COMP_OUT pin.

For this use case, do I need to enable the internal or external reference voltage

(ref: https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=A__AMcXdBEwHwXkJLsyHXRV0w__MSPM0-SDK__a3PaaoK__LATEST)?

Alternatively, can I completely turn OFF the VREF module to save power while still operating the comparator with two external input voltages?

If turning VREF off is allowed, are there any restrictions or configuration considerations I should be aware of in STANDBY1 mode?

Thanks,

Tirthraj
