TMDSEMU110-U: XDS110 Debug Probe Not Detecting Target Supply (TVref) – Hardware Issue Suspected

Part Number: TMDSEMU110-U

Hello TI Support,

I am having a problem with my XDS110 debug probe (TMDSEMU110-U).
When I try to load the program, it shows an error saying that the target voltage (TVref) is not detected.

I checked my board and the 3.3V supply is correct.
I also tested using another programmer on the same board and it works fine.
So it looks like this XDS110 probe has some hardware issue.

Please guide me on how to repair or replace this XDS110.

    yes Device is Successfully turn on, I confirmed Based on Indication light,

    Can you copy/paste the error message you are seeing when you try to load a program using the faulty XDS110? This will allow me to suggest the correct troubleshooting steps.

    Hi Brennan,

    Thank you for your prompt response.

    "Error connecting to the target:
    (Error -267 @ 0x0)
    The controller could not detect valid target supply. Check target
    JTAG connection and/or connection setting specifying voltage level.
    (Emulation package 12.8.0.00189)"

    Bhairav, 

    This error happens if a XDS110 is being used, the Power Selection setting is set to Probe supplied power but the hardware itself is not properly providing power to the target device. In this case, verify if all power connections are correctly connected.

    Ensure you have 'Target Supplied Power' selected in the XDS110 settings in your target configuration.

    Hi Brennan,

    Thank you for your suggestions.

    I have already checked the hardware and tested it with another XDS110 debugger, and everything is working properly. I also verified the settings you mentioned, and everything seems to be configured correctly, with Target Supplied Power selected as required.

    However, despite confirming the hardware connections and settings, I am still facing the same issue that I mentioned in my previous email.

    Could you please suggest any additional troubleshooting steps or provide further guidance on resolving this issue?

    Thanks for confirming. Please open a ticket with the Customer Support Center to get a replacement XDS110 debugger.
