Hi,

The MSPM0G1519 datasheet describes "Up to 32 application-chosen sectors from the main flash bank(s) or data bank can be used as high endurance sectors. This enables
applications that frequently update flash data such as EEPROM emulation." How are the 32 sectors selected from the 256 sectors that will have an endurance of 100k, and which ones will have 10k?

Hi,

Any of the sectors can be chosen.

The specification is really about the endurance of the flash pump, so we say to avoid using more than 32 sectors. This is a typical use case, and is how the specification was derived.

Sorry, I didn't understand. No configuration is needed for a sector to be high endurance? Is it just a matter of using it as if it were, respecting the 32 high endurance sectors quantity?

If all the flash memory is the same, why can't all sectors support 100k write erase cycles? What causes this differentiation for 32 sectors?

Hi,

No special configuration is needed.

The specification is based on the lifespan of the flash pump -- not the memory cells.
