MSPM0C1103: Primary functions of the pins

Part Number: MSPM0C1103

Hi Team,

Our customer would like to know the primary functions of the pins of the 20-pin WQFN MSPM0C1103. Section 6.3 shows the alternate functions of the pins as ADC, GPIO, SPI and etc. Can we say that the primary functions of the pins of MSPM0C1103 are GPIO?

Regards,

Danilo

  • Hi Danilo,

By primary function, do you mean the default pin function? If this is what you mean, this is what the TRM says:

    Owen

  • Hi Owen,

    Thank you for your response.

Our customer wants to know the primary functions of the pins 1-20. For example, in Table 6-1 the second function of pin 2 of WQFN package is BEEP, the third function is I2C0_SDA. What is the primary function of pin 2? How about the primary functions of the rest of the pins for WQFN package?

    Regards,

    Danilo

  • Hi Danilo,

The notation you see in Table 6-1 signifies the Pin Function (PF) index for that pin.

[0] would signify that the pin is unconnected to digital features. This is necessary if an analog function is the desired configuration.

    [1] would signify GPIO.

The footnote of this table explains this:

There isn't necessarily a primary function for any pin, besides VDD, VSS, etc.

    Best,

    Owen

  • Hi Owen,

Thank you very much for this information.

    Regards,

    Danilo
