AM2434: Want to output 99% duty @96kHz using PRU-PWM

Part Number: AM2434

Hi,

We've received an inquiry from my customer. Could you help to answer to their question below ?

------------------------------------------------------------

Is it possible to output Duty 99% @96kHz using PRU-PWM ?

If it’s possible, could you please tell them how to configure it ?

I tried various configuration, but they cannot increase the maximum duty cycle more than 70% at the carrier frequency of 96 kHz. When initializing the PRU-PWM state (setting the output to Low) at the position corresponding to the carrier peak, with high duty and high carrier frequency, the rising edge event occurs before the initialization is completed. As a result, instead of transitioning from Low to High as intended, it becomes High to Low, causing the duty cycle to invert. Given the structure where the R5F core handles shadow register care via peak/valley interrupts, I think this is difficult, but if there is a way to output high duty using PRU-PWM, please let me know.

Thanks and regards,

Hideaki
