AM2634-Q1: AM2634-Q1: ADC Input Capacitance vs Silicone changes

Part Number: AM2634-Q1

Hello everyone,
I still haven't found any information in the TI documents about the ADC input capacity of the AM2634COKFHMZCZRQ1.
I have noticed a certain offset in our ADC measurement and I am wondering whether this offset is caused by changes from Silicon 1.0 to Silicone 1.0A to Silicon 1.1.

Are the following statements still valid:
Ron = 1.2 kOhm (sample/hold resistance)
Chold = 8 pF (sample/hold capacitance)
Cp = 7 pF (parasitic shunt pin capacitance)

Best regards,
Bernhard

  • Hi Bernhard,

    Apologies for the delayed response here. The original assignee is on business travel, and the thread reassignment was overlooked.

    I am happy to help you out here.

    The values you provided regarding the ADC input model parameters are correct. Note that Cp here is the typical parasitic capacitance value which includes: Ball/Pkg/BondWire + ADC Analog Design Parasitics + Physical Silicon Parasitics. This means you can assume 7pF as the ADC input capacitance.

    There were various updates made to the ADC and association Analog ComplexIO (CIO) subsystem between SR1.0/SR1.0A and SR1.1. I have shared a screenshot from the device errata document below that notes the issues that were addressed.

    It is certainly possible that the changes could have an effect on the offset measurement.

    Best Regards,
